This london based international band bring you a sweet brass attack from the deepest Balkans with huge bass lines infused with Jewish and Arabic melodies. Big tunes played by a big band that create a massive sound with a whole heap of electronics and scratchings.
Gypsy Hill are a savvy, cool band that bring out the jams with some high energy stompers as well as treating us to some re-workings and great remixes of artists such as Balkan Beat Box, Besh O Drom and Al Jawala. perhaps that hints at the musical duality of this band. Taking their homeland mediterranean Arabic and Jewish pumping tunes and mixing it with the Balkans' passion and zest for all things brass!!! They create one hot sexy beast that brings to mind Balkan Beat Box, JUF as well as some Balkan greats.
